It wasn’t in the cards

Being the space nut that I am, I bought a slot on the first launch out of the New Mexico Spaceport (now called Spaceport America) for one of my business cards, courtesy of ZG Aerospace.

First problem: I don’t have any business cards. Solution: iPrint.com. I was super impressed with how easy it was to create full-color cards, using the background picture in the header at the top of this page.

Second problem: the rocket didn’t make it into space and crashed in the mountains. Solution: deal with it. At least I’ll get my mostly-intact card back.
You can see it in the International Space Registry by clicking here.

I don’t know who set the value at $500, or why. It’s not for sale.

ZG isn’t yet accepting orders for the next flight – I think they took a big hit when this launch didn’t succeed. I hope they make it. Regardless, I’ll try to have something of mine in the next flight out that accepts business cards.

About Doug

I grew up an Air Force brat and have visited every European country except those once behind the Iron Curtain (they wouldn't let my father in for some reason). Now I'm enrolled in the Aerospace Engineering program at NMSU in Las Cruces, NM.
