Once more into the breach

(Apparently it’s supposed to be “unto” but it didn’t sound as good that way. Sorry, King Henry V.)

I’m all signed up and ready for the next semester, which starts tomorrow. I’m taking pretty much the same thing – the next sections each of Calculus and Physics.

I finally coaxed my grades out of the NMSU website. An A in Calculus and a C in Physics. Lots of room for improvement, but certainly better than it could have been.

Come summertime, I will be eligible for in-state tuition and will be able (if I feel so inclined) to take on a bigger class load. Which would get me to a degree faster, but also hinder me from taking a job and making some grocery money. Of course I haven’t managed to find anything permanent so far, so that argument lacks force. Really I’m scared I won’t be able to handle anything like a normal, full college class schedule.

The only way out is through. Suck it up, Doug. You’ll handle it, or not. Let’s go find out which.

About Doug

I grew up an Air Force brat and have visited every European country except those once behind the Iron Curtain (they wouldn't let my father in for some reason). Now I'm enrolled in the Aerospace Engineering program at NMSU in Las Cruces, NM.
